About me

Computer scientist by trade, I started woodcarving in the 80's at Mr. Wirth's workshop at the Maison de la Culture et des Loisirs rue Saint Marcel in Metz.
In the late 80's I went to the workshop of the Carrefour des Arts, 3 rue des trinitaires in Metz where, under the aegis of Michel Lelièvre, I practiced stone sculpture and learned modelling and moulding techniques. Single-use plaster castings, latex castings with multiple-use gypsum counter mold.

In 2012, taking advantage of my retirement, I went to learn Raku at Denis Payan's workshop in Châtel Saint Germain, the latter having stopped leading this workshop in 2015.
At the end of 2015 I equipped myself with an electric potter's oven and made me a Raku gas oven with the help of Michel Vahl.
In June 2016, I became president of the brand new association Loisirs Créatifs Châtel where, in the company of André and Luce, we run pottery workshops (for adults and children), as well as a Raku workshop (adults), in premises, provided free of charge by the municipality at the Centre Socio-Culturel, rue Jeanne d' Arc at 57160 Châtel St Germain.
